What Are: Postcards?

on May 10, 2005, no comments

Postcards are the cheap(ish) way to get your art all in the face of Art Directors. Easier on the postae bill and size than sending out huge sample packets. Postcards are printed up at a printer and then, using a targeted list (from, say the fine folks at Langerman Lists you send them to just the people you want to see them. If you’re just starting out, you can print up postcards from a home computer and mail them to names culled from a good day at Barnes and Nobel. Home printing doesn’t look as professional and takes more time, but I often use it to send out very small, very exact mailers. Example: Sending just a CD-cover postcard to a few Production companies rather than invest in a whole thousand card run.
