Young illustrators given ‘Rainbow’ accolades

Public television station KEET-TV held its award reception this month for the young authors who participated in the Reading Rainbow Young Writer and Illustrator contest. This year marked the 10th year KEET has participated in the national contest, designed to encourage kindergarteners through third-graders to write and illustrate their own stories. KEET received 185 entries from students living in Weott to Crescent City to Hoopa.
