We Love Hockey…Rumors!
on February 27, 2009, 1 comment
Like most Canadians, we get pretty darn excited right around the NHL trade deadline. Rumors are flying this time of year and we get itchy for a blockbuster deal.
But which rumors have any substance to them? Which trades might actually go down? Enter the new hockey rumor democracy, Hockey Rumors .ca. It’s a quick little app we whipped up to keep track of all the juicy off-ice gossip and let you, the hockey fan, bet on the outcome.
The site is still pretty rough around the edges but the NHL trade deadline is less than a week away so we decided to let this one hit the web a bit early. As always, high-5 for any suggestions.

Hi, I’ve developed the world’s first Online Interactive Card Hockey Game! It’s a family casual game for both genders including moms, dads, kids, gamers of all ages, enjoyably addictive, quite challenging and oh yes there is both Regular Season and Playoff Sudden-Death-OT too!
Indeed I think you’ll see it’s as close to the real thing as a ‘Card’ game can get as well as a significantly viable alternative addition to the genre of hockey video games. Anyway you, friends and your kids if you have some, are welcomed to play my NHL Card Hockey Demo from here: http://www.tegarttech.com/cardhockey/cardhockey_setup_B2.10_NHL08.exe currently for Windows only and your feedback would be appreciated. Keeping in mind though that it’s just a ‘demo’ and still needs polishing with better graphics etc. and there are other features yet to be added to the Game such as a video ‘How To Play’ feature for gamers that don’t like to read the rules for how to play.
As well, the plan is to set up online Card Hockey Leagues in each NHL City for online Tournament play and I’m taking inquiries from all Hockey fans that have server space to Host a league for their city. All 30 Host League Memberships are available to apply for since I have just started interviewing but we do need a game Programmer to help facilitate/coordinate the project, converting the digital PC version of Card Hockey for online play and linking all 30 Leagues as well as having the additional features of Live Interactive individual challenges with anyone in the world 24/7 and/or just playing against the computer online for as long as they wish. The Programmer would also share equally in proceeds if/when it is marketed. So if you know of ‘one’, my development site is here: http://www.tegarttech.com/cardhockey. The Game is designed so that anyone can create their own Hockey League too. So, for example, instead of playing the NHL version, kids could change the Team Names and the Names on the Player cards and use their own Names and called it the name of their Pee Wee league or Olympics’ Hockey, or WHL and so forth.
We also have an NHL Player interested to endorse but would prefer a Player/Investor role and/or any assistance finding an NHL Sponsor or a qualified Investor would be helpful toward achieving that ultimate goal and if you can help, I’d certainly make it worth Your while from proceeds too. But for now, would just like to get a generic version of the Game out there online for people to enjoy and everything else may just naturally fall into place. Thanks.
